LPI training at the NOUL on VTETIMES

The training for LPI at the NoUL has come to an end on September 19, 2008. The closing ceremony was attended by Associate Dr. Bounphong, the vice president of NoUL. This event is the biggest Open Source awareness in the country. It promotes the awareness of Free and Open Source Software in the world and for the country like Laos. We will try to do utmost to promote this whether it is within governement or for the priate sector.
The 10 day event was feature in Vientianetimes twice on September 16 and 17. One as shown here.

First google phone revealed

It has been a long waiting for me and everyone keep up with the google indded. It is finally here and should be on the market within months. HTC and Google namely Android had done it.

Linux Training of Trainers (LToT) LPI 1 in Laos

The Linux Training of Trainers (LToT) in Laos at the National University of Laos, IT Center started today. There are many participants from ASEAN countries: Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, The Philliphines, and Vietnam. The mission of this training is basically train the trainers to become LPI (Linux Professional Certification). We have 5 Lao participants including myself and we hope to become the LPI professional by the end of the training. (8-9-2008).

Google Chrome, Web Browser -a new thing

Google has done it. They just annouced and completed the new web browser named 'Chrome'. It will be exisiting to have One more choice beside a boring IE browser. So two day ago was a big day for Google for launching there Web Browser “Chrome”. News everywhere. If you open any Google search page you will see that there is message about it.

As there is new coming about it i am also waiting for it so long. I think this is one of the best products of Google. I download and installed it already.

Its very unique design from borders and fast. Now see how many user can this products get because Chrome is need to have competition with Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Currently there is only Windows based. The engineers are wokring on Linux and Mac versions. Once the Chrome is stable, I will work on Lao version.
